Creative Learning & Community Partnerships
Creative Learning is integral to the Majestic and Charline McCombs Empire Theatres, delivering an important part of our commitment to nurture the future. We engage and empower people of all abilities, ages, genders, races and socio-economic backgrounds in the communities and schools our venues serve, with the aim of increasing access to the transformational power of the performing arts.
Our work is informed by our incredible city, our inspiring venues and the amazing productions that tour to us. Our goal is to create an environment that broadens access to live entertainment, especially for those who haven't always had the opportunity.
We are delighted to work alongside The Majestic Empire Foundation, dedicated to the development of the performing arts through education and scholarships, as well as the restoration and preservation of the historic Majestic and Charline McCombs Empire Theatres.
The Majestic Theatre is proud to be a Broadway League Member and delighted to be introducing their new initiative Broadway Bridges on the Road, in partnership with The Majestic Empire Foundation.
Broadway Bridges on the Road is aimed at expanding access to Broadway touring performances for high school students nationwide. Building on the success of its New York City counterpart, this program provides discounted tickets to Equity productions at participating Broadway League member theatres. By collaborating with touring productions, these theatres offer affordable tickets to local high schools, making field trips to Broadway a reality. This initiative enriches students' arts education, promotes cultural equity, and cultivates a diverse future audience for live theatre.
Thanks to the generous contribution from Valero Broadway Bridges at The Majestic Theatre is offering complimentary tickets to Title 1 High School students for the opportunity to experience the magic of a Broadway touring production live in their home city.
